Easter 2023 our team at The Bakehouse Factory brought Superworm to the magical backdrop of Kew Gardens for a new adventure with all the heroes from the best-selling book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Designing and making a trail for families to follow and discover familiar scenes from the story, dig deep into the importance of soil, and find out all about the different garden creatures of Superworm.
My key roll within this project was restoring, the texture and paint on this large frog puppet to match the illustrations for the event. I was also in charge of designing /making the worm puppet featured in this scene too.
Another key roll I had in this project was helping sculpting, casting and and painting the bees and bugs for this scene where the Wizard Lizard is carried away by the swarm.
