As part of a dedicated team of scenic artists at the Bakehouse Factory Bristol, I had the privilege to contribute to the creation of this immersive adventure, opening at Meadowhall, Sheffield on September 30th 2023.
Together, we meticulously designed, built, painted, and fabricated the captivating sets and props that bring Barbie’s universe to vivid reality. From crafting dream job backdrops to sculpting fantastical landscapes, our collaborative efforts ensured that every detail sparkled with imagination and wonder. Suitable for the whole family and available for a limited time only, Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience promises to inspire and delight visitors of all ages, inviting them to explore their potential and embrace the magic of possibility.
Being part of the Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience project was truly significant to me. It wasn’t just about creating sets and props; it was about championing a cause close to my heart. This project holds immense importance as it aims to support the dreams and aspirations of young girls everywhere. By showcasing a diverse range of dream jobs and adventures, we’re breaking gender stereotypes and empowering the younger generation to believe that they can be anything they set their minds to. It’s about instilling in them the confidence to pursue their passions, regardless of societal norms or expectations.
