Here Are some of my highlights from other projects working as a workshop performer and/or Scenic artist at Bakehouse Factory in Bristol.

Landsec: Summer Gardens Installations

Picture after install of blue installation location

Here are some process videos from our Landsec project @bakehousefactory  Making flower installation for summer. For this project I was promoted to lead scenic, and acted as the link of communication between the designer, and the team of 4-6 scenics on the project. I was in charge of delegating jobs based on the production schedule and coordinating material stock between the 4 different installation sites to ensure we kept within budget .

Thousands of staples were used to add all these different types of flowers in differing colours, textures and even scents for a sensory installation! β˜€οΈπŸŒΈπŸ’πŸŒΌ

As well as adding realistic flowers to to the walls and archways we added fabric to these metal petal frames to create these large scale flowers. Each of the 4 installation sites had a flower with 8 petals so we had a production line set up to complete all 32 petals efficiently.

Here we are seeing one of the flowers being set up for the first time as a test before going on site.

Tea and Tiaras

I gave this Giant Cupcake a well deserved makeover for the Tea and Tiaras event by BakeHouse factory for Queens Platinum Jubilee in June 2022. I used Idenden as a layer all over the cake to improve the texture and to reinforce the polystyrene. Then painted the sponge a more delicious golden colour.

Then I hammered in the newly painted sprinkles into icing while the Idenden was still a little soft under the crust to fix them in place once dry.

Sugar Walls

Here I made a polystyrene carved giant Flump marshmallow chimney for a candy house. I then drilled in threaded bar and used expanding foam to fix it in place, so that it could be attached to the top of the house on site. Once that was set I scrimmed and painted it.

Positivity Tree

Had a great time being Positive Pam, at @festivalplace spreading some smiles on Blue Monday! For this workshop I was the install scenic and craft leader.

Was so much fun doing crafts with kids as always! But it was especially heartwarming seeing some really deep and meaningful positive wishes and affirmations from the public.
